In my family when you go from childhood to adulthood it becomes a big deal. For starters you hand presents with the adults. Every year we have Christmas lunch and presents at my grandparents residence in Atwater California. My grandparents house is huge, they built it sometime before I was born. It is a terce story house not including the attic, t he first floor has a bathroom, living room, dinning room, and kitchen which has a door leading to the huge basement that could be more living space if get hold ofed. Then you have the second floor, that has three bedrooms, an office and 2 bathrooms. The only problem with that is there are not enough place for everyone to sit right next to you.
