If quality management means a system approach of operation of continual improvement, the system needs to be structured with the objectives of the organization in mind, and the processes must be aligned in the most effective and efficient way. It is also important that the system must demonstrate a universal understanding of the interrelations and interdependencies a mong the different processes within that system. A structured approach is indicated since it integrates the processes. The employees thus armed with a better understanding of the common objectives may develop a sense to eliminate the barriers in cross-functional areas, so there is a harmony between different roles and responsibilities. According to Ruggiero (2012), thinking is any mental activity that helps  formulate or solve a problem, make a decision, or fulfill a desire to understand. Critical thinking enables us to recognize a wide range of subjective analysis of otherwise objective data, and to evaluate how well each analysis might meet our needs (Kurland, 2000). From the definitions, we see that there is a big difference between thinking and critically thinking. As human beings we think all day, every day. We think about what we are going to wear in the morning, what task we have to complete at work, what we have to do after work, and even what we have to do the next day. When you are critically thinking, you are analyzing and breaking things down. For instance, when someone presents an idea to you at work. When that idea is presenting to you, you immediately begin to dissect the idea; how it will benefit, what is the systematics, what will it take to get the idea approved, etc. The three most significant things that I have learned about critical thinking during this class are the kind of thinker I am, the steps to take to not let my habits hinder my thinking and telling the difference between an issue and a problem. The beginning of the class was an eye-opener to me. Since I had taken the CAP class at my previous education institution, I never thought about what kind of thinker I was. This class has made me see that I am still a beginner thinker; trying to improve without regular practice (Ruggiero, 2012). Chapter three taught me many things about myself also. There were things that I knew I did out of habit but did not know that sometimes my habits hinder my thinking capabilities. I never took the time to distinguish the difference between an issue and a problem. After going through week 5, I learned that they are both different although they go hand in hand. My critical thinking has changed since starting this class because now I am able to understand the importance of critical thinking and how to use it appropriately. The stage of development that I placed myself in at the beginning of this course has changed slightly. I went from a â€Å"beginner thinker† to a â€Å"practicing thinker†. This change has occurred because I went from trying to improve without regular practice to acknowledging the practices and including them in my daily critical thinking. I plan to more myself from being a â€Å"practicing thinker† to a â€Å"master thinker† by using all my skills acquired from the practices and involving them in my everyday thinking. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to participate in Humanities/111. With  the skills and practices that I have learned in this course, I am able to work more efficient in my upcoming courses. Top Deck - The Magazine for Collectible Card Gamers As a potential reader examines a shelf of magazines to buy, the reader will look for an eye-catching magazine that pertains to his or her interests. The magazine Top Deck targets an audience which ranges from pre-teenagers to mid-thirties readers who share interests such as collectible card games, RPG's (or roleplaying games), and fantasy related items. Although the main focus of the magazine is collectible card games, Top Deck attempts to also appeal to the other interests of collectible card gamers. Top Deck experiments with the layout of a normal magazine by expanding it and separating the magazine into two parts. One part of the magazine spotlights the trading card game Pokemon and the other has a majority of articles on the card game Magic: The Gathering. Depending on which portion of the magazine the reader is currently viewing, the other side of Top Deck is upside-down. Most readers would find this design strange and hard to read, but the readers of Top Deck seem to like the design. The design shows imagination and creativity, and these qualities are almost universal among collectible card gamers. It takes a good imagination to play with cards that neither talk nor move and alot of creativity to design a deck of Magic or Pokemon cards. Another thing that makes Top Deck so interesting to its audience is the sarcastic tone of writing that laces the sentences like arsenic. An article contained in the section called Top Disc, on E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) previews computer and console games that will be released for the rest of this year and possibly next year (35-45). The article is sometimes humorous to read as it tries to sum up entire games in a few sentences. When reviewing the game Quake III: Arena, Cory Herndon explains: "Point. Shoot. Die. Repeat." (35) Obviously, this is an over-simplistic comment, but it parallels the sarcastic tone of the magazine. The readers of Top Deck enjoy this style of writing because the readers themselves are sarcastic. Society today has been so serious about everything that sometimes it is refreshing to read something so totally causal and carefree. In the department called Box 707, Top Deck stretches sarcasm and humor to the limit (10*). This section is a letter section in which readers write in and someone from the magazine answers these letters. The letters are then printed within the Box 707 section of Top Deck.

Throughout the novel, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, many forms of love appear. There is true love that comes from the heart and is pure and on the other hand there is a lustful love which is not love at. Another love that is shown throughout the book, is love obsession, where one falls in love with someone and puts them before everything. In the Hunchback one can observe these loves and how they compare to one another as well as which one is best and why. In the end we will be able to see that even though there are many forms of love, many of them do not come from the right place and have the right intentions. As a result one will suffer from expressing the wrong types of love. The first love is a lustful love. This is where one is more attracted to the person’s body rather than the person themselves. Lust, according to the Webster dictionary, can be described as a very strong sexual desire. This is what Phoebus was feeling when he meets Esmeralda. He desires her looks, but not her heart. He was not really feeling love but just tricking her. As a result he was stabbed, almost died, and caused Esmeralda to be hopelessly in love with him even though he did not love her back. Another love that is presented in the Hunchback is a love that comes from desperation and/or frustration. It is when one falls in love with someone simply because they were the first person they ran into to get away from their problems. The problem with this love is that the person who expresses it is not truly feeling love. There are so many problems in their life that they think that by loving someone they will be able to escape their problems. That someone was Esmeralda for Claude Frollo. She happened to be there when he was frustrated and as a result became... ...er way and never betrayed her. He did all this even though he knew she would never love him back. That is true love. From the things written above one can see the different forms of that were taken from the book, the Hunchback of Notre Dame. It can be observed how much one can about love from the books we read. One can also learn the greatest form of love and how to express it. One has learned that it is impossible to love without showing it. Out of all the loves mentioned above, true love is the best and the only real love. If one truly loves he/she will find themselves having room to love even more. For one can never love too much. Love is something that one should do every day and continue to do for the rest of one’s life. One needs to do whatever it takes to keep on loving. For in the words of William Shakespeare "If music be the food of love, then play on."

Caliban’s Feelings Towards Propero Essay

In this essay I will tell you about Caliban’s feelings towards Prospero, how Prospero treats Caliban and a chain of exploitation involving Caliban and Prospero. Caliban is the rightful owner of an island that Prospero, an ex-duke of Milan and a type of sorcerer, and his daughter Miranda, a girl who was only 3 years old when her father was overthrown by his brother Antonio and pities people who are harmed by her father’s magic, took over when they arrived on the island and managed to control Caliban with his magic. Caliban finds more people to work with, when Prospero ship wrecked their boat, called Trinculo and Stephano and plan to kill Prospero. After Prospero took over the island Caliban has tried to reclaim it but is then punished by Prospero’s magic. When Caliban talks to Trinculo and Stephano about trying to reclaim the island from him he tells how he was usurped ‘As I told thee before, I am subject to a tyrant, a sorcerer, that by his cunning hath cheated me of the island’. The words tyrant and sorcerer display Prospero as an evil and cruel master, when Caliban calls him a tyrant means that he thinks Prospero is a person who exercises power in a harsh, cruel manner. In the quote it says he was ‘cheated me of the island’ shows that he was ill-treated by Prospero and suggests that Caliban has been made inferior. In line 106 Caliban asks Stephano if he will destroy Prospero, the use of the word destroy tells the audience that Caliban hates Prospero so much he doesn’t only want to kill him he wants to hurt him so much that the broken beyond repair, and he wants them to ‘batter his skull†¦Ã¢â‚¬ ¦.  Cut his wezand (his windpipe/throat)†¦Ã¢â‚¬ ¦paunch him’, punching is when you cut an animal’s stomach area and all its intestines fall out and you then clean the intestines to get out the good meat. The way Prospero treats Caliban according to Caliban he is ill-treated by Prospero and tells Stephano the ways he is cruel to him, ‘I say by sorcery he got this isle, from me he got it†¦Ã¢â‚¬ ¦..  Revenge on him for I know thou dar’st’, when Caliban tells Stephano that he was usurped by cruel magic he asks ‘how now shall this be compassed? Canst thou bring me to the party’, Stephano is asking Caliban how will he get his revenge and can he come along to help Caliban. Stephano agrees with Caliban that he was ill-treated and happily agrees the help kill Prospero and in return he gets to rule the island and have Caliban and Trinculo as his viceroys. While Caliban is telling Stephano of all the horrid things he wants to do to Prospero he tells him about his daughter Miranda and Caliban says ‘Ay, lord, she will become thy bed, I warrant, and bring thee forth brave brood’ the exploitation is that Caliban is telling Stephano that he can force Miranda to sleep with him and give birth to many children at his pleasure, the irony in this is that Caliban exploiting Miranda, the person who has always been exploited. When Caliban asks Stephano if he will help kill his master he says ‘beat him enough, after a little time I’ll beat him too’ the exploitation in this quote is to Prospero because they are implying that they can easily overpower him and beat him, in line 106 Caliban asks Stephano ‘Wilt thou destroy him then’, the word destroy tells that he does not only think he can overpower him but have enough strength to destroy him, this exploitation is no ironic because Prospero used his strength to exploit Caliban. Whilst Caliban is listing the ways he wants to kill Prospero he tells Stephano and Trinculo ‘First possess his books: for without them he’s but a sot’ He is telling them this because he knows how weak he can be without his magic and his books and how strong he is with them. The fact that Caliban knows his weaknesses tells the audience that he has been planning to get revenge on his master, now he has formed an alliance with Stephano and Trinculo means that he can put his plan into action and finally get revenge on his old cruel master Prospero. He follows on from this and says ‘burn but his books; he has brave utensils- for so he calls them’ Caliban is saying that you can burn anything you want except his books because they hold great power and will be a type of trophy they gain for killing Prospero. In the story of The Tempest I think that Caliban and Prospero’s relationship is bad because at the beginning they argue about whose island it is. Later on in the story Caliban finds Stephano and Trinculo and makes an alliance with them, he then promises to show and tell them the best springs are in return for some wine, he also gets them to help him get his revenge on Prospero. Prospero doesn’t like Caliban because he abuses Miranda and always threatens him and tries not to help them live their lives. Overall I think Prospero and Caliban’s relationship is the worst in the whole story and doesn’t improve and only gets worst.

The book A Time to Kill is one of these examples based on racial tension and capital punishment. This book is a perfect representation of our criminal justice system from start to finish. Carl Lee asked Jake if he will be there for him. Jake not knowing what Carl was thinking agreed to help him out . The question is What would You do if someone did that to your 10-year-old Daughter. A few days later, after the arraignment, Carl Lee stayed at the courthouse and studied every part of it, and hid in the broom closet. At the bail hearing of Cobb and Willard, Carl Lee shoots both of them repeatedly until he is sure that they are dead. When he quits shooting, Carl Lee realizes that he has not only killed the two men that rapped his little girl, but also that he has shot a police officer who has been a life long friend. Religion in Germany

Religion in Germany For good reason, the intersection of the huge topics â€Å"religion† and â€Å"Germany† is understandably Martin Luther. Luther was born in Eisleben, Germany, in 1483, and his family soon moved to Mansfeld, Germany. Luther received a superb basic education in Latin and German, entered the University of Erfurt in 1501, where he received his baccalaureate degree in 1502 and his master’s degree in 1505. Urged by his father, Luther undertook graduate work in law, but switched to theology within six weeks, owing, he said, to a violent thunderstorm that so terrified him (â€Å"besieged by the terror and agony of sudden death†) he promised God to become a monk if he survived. Luther began his so-called priestly formation at the University of Erfurt, became a priest in 1507, transferred to the University of Wittenberg in 1508, and completed his doctorate in 1512, which the University of Erfurt granted based on his studies at Wittenberg. Five years later, the rift with Catholicism that became the Protestant Reformation began and the ripple effect of Luther’s Ninety-five Theses in 1517 changed the world forever. Today, Germany is still a Christian nation, although, in keeping with religious freedom, there is no official religion. â€Å"Religionen Weltanschauungsgemeinschaften in Deutschland: Mitgliederzahlen† analyzed results of the 2011 census and found that ca. 67% of the population identified themselves as Christian, i.e., Protestant or Catholic, while Islam comprised ca. 4.9%. There are very, very small Jewish and Buddhist groups that are barely measurable, so the remaining population, i.e., ca 28%, either belong to unidentified religious groups or do not belong to any formal religious group. The German constitution (Grundgesetz fà ¼r die Bundesrepublik Deutschland), which opens with these stirring words: â€Å"Human dignity is inviolable,† guarantees freedom of religion for everyone. The core of this guarantee of religious freedom is based on â€Å". . . the freedom of religion, conscience and the freedom of confessing one’s religious or philosophical beliefs are inviolable. Uninfringed religious practice is guaranteed.† But the guarantee does not stop there. The very nature and form of the government reà ¯nforce and bolster that guarantee with many safeguards that strengthen one another synergistically, e.g., a democratic society, popular sovereignty, a strong emphasis on social responsibility, and binding federalism among the sixteen German states (Deutsche Bundeslnder). It is certainly worth one’s time. The overall distribution of religious affiliations can be outlined roughly as follows: you’re more likely to encounter Protestants in the North and Northeast and Catholics in the South and Southwest; however, â€Å"Germany Unity†- the joining of the German Democratic Republic (the â€Å"DDR†) and the Federal Republic of Germany (the â€Å"BRD†) on 03 October 1990- skewed this rule of thumb. After 45 years of communist rule in East Germany, many, many families had drifted away from religion altogether. So, in the former German Democratic Republic, you’re more likely to encounter individuals and families who don’t identify themselves with any church affiliation. Despite the rough geographic distribution of various religious adherents, many of the holidays that began as religious holy days centuries ago are still part of German culture, regardless of location. â€Å"Fasching†- also known as Karneval, Fastnacht, Fasnacht, Fastelabend- begins either a 11:11 on 11 November or on 07 January, the day after the Feast of the Three Kings, depending on your locale, and runs until Ash Wednesday (der Aschermittwoch), the beginning of Lent- the fortyday period of fasting and abstinence immediately preceding Easter. Knowing that they will have to set their frivolity aside during Lent, people party extensively; perhaps to â€Å"get it out of their system† (verrà ¼ckt spielen). The celebrations are mostly local and vary from village to town to city, but inevitably culminate in the week leading up to Ash Wednesday. Participants dress in outlandish costumes, prank one another, and generally try to have a frivolous time. It’s mostly harmless, playful, and inconsequential silliness. For example, Weiberfastnacht is the Thursday before Ash Wednesday, usually in the Rhineland, but there are pockets of Weiberfastnacht all over. Women kiss any man who catches their fancy, snip off their ties with scissors, and end up in bars to laugh, drink, and recount the day’s exploits. There are parades of various sorts and sizes over the weekend before Easter weekend. Costumes abound, groups strut their stuff (â€Å"stolzieren ungeniert†), as they say, with lots of good-humored hooting and hollering. Rosenmontag, the Monday before Ash Wednesday, has the most extravagant carnival parade in Cologne, but very respectable rival parades also take place throughout the Rhineland, all of which the German television network broadcasts, not merely nationwide, but to other Germanspeaking areas, particularly in Austria Switzerland. The next day, Fastnachtdienstag, additional parades take place, but the focal point of this day is the so-called burning of the â€Å"Nubbel†. The Nubbel is a straw-filled figure- a scapegoat- that the merrymakers fill with all the sins they committed during the carnival. When they burn the Nubbel, they burn their sins away, leaving them with nothing to regret during Lent. After sacrificing the Nubbel and not wanting to waste a good Lent at their disposal, the revelers once more start partying into the wee hours of the night just before Ash Wednesday, in hopes of having something about which they can be a bit contrite, even remorseful. This attitude is in keeping with a very human exchange Luther had with Philip Melanchthon, one of Luther’s companions and an early Protestant theologian. Melanchthon was a rather circumspect man whose unwavering mien annoyed Luther from time to time. â€Å"For goodness’ sake, why don’t you go and sin a little?† urged Luther in exasperation. â€Å"Doesn’t God deserve to have something to forgive you for!† For the record, Martin Luther was a rather lusty, earthy monk who, after the Catholic Church excommunicated him, married and commented several times about how delightful it was to awake to find â€Å"braids on the pillow† next to his. Luther would have loved and sanctioned the very ethos of Fasching, for he said â€Å"Wer nicht liebt Wein, Weib, und Gesang, Der bleibt ein Narr sein Leben lang.† (â€Å"Who loves not women, wine, and song, Remains a fool his whole life long.†)

But even if it started that late, He still has accomplished so many things that brought great changes in the lives of those unbelieving individuals. He did many miraculous things that have made the Israelites and the Pharisees stand in awe of it. Jesus did those miracles to show His Great Power, His Healing Touch and His Great love. His Glory was manifested through his miraculous deeds. Even though, many opposed to what He is doing because according to them it was unlawful, but still it did not stop Him from doing good for the others. But before He died and was crucified, He left us with many miraculous things which brought great impacts on our being. One of those many miracles was, Jesus Heals a Crippled Man. In this story, Jesus was on Capernaum when while teaching, their were four men who came near him and brought with them a cripple man. They saw that there many people gathered, so they decided to make a hole in the roof where Jesus was preaching and there they let the crippled man see and be healed by Jesus. Jesus was amazed by the faith of those people who accompanied the cripple man and as well the cripple man himself. Then Jesus commanded the man to stand up and pick up his mat, when the crippled man did it, he was amazed because he can finally walk. Jesus also said to his friends that their sins were already forgiven because of their great faith, many reacted with this. They say, that Jesus does not have any right to forgive only God do. Jesus then told him, that He has every right to say it because He is the Son of God. One time, He also healed a man but this time with a cripple hand. It was during Sabbath, and many Pharisees condemned Jesus for healing during Sabbath, they it is unlawful. For Jesus, it does not matter if it is during Sabbath or not, as long as someone is healed and made good. Days or important dates do not matter as long as you are doing well for others. In this miracle Jesus showed that Great faith is needed for us to be saved and healed. Nothing is more important than having faith. Faith is the substance of things we are expecting and hoping while we do not see those things yet. We have great faith that things will happen, if we are sick, we should have faith in Jesus, that He will heal and cure us from all our sickness. All we have to hold is just faith, even little faith can do great things, it can already move giant mountains and clear our way. Jesus desires to see that faith within us; He cannot do what He wants in our lives, like salvation, healing and prosperity if we do not have that great faith within out hearts. A faith that never waivers, that never ceases or stops but a faith that is firm, that will stand the test of time even great trial, circumstance and travails will come on our way. Jesus desires for us great things in life, that is first we should be saved by His blood and we should believe in Him, that He is the healer and the Messiah which God sent in this Earth for us. Jesus heals a sick woman and made alive a dying girl. In this event, Jesus was at the shore in Galilee when Jairus approached Him and asked His help because his daughter is about to die already. Jesus the immediately responded and went with him. But while Jesus was on His way, He noticed that someone touched His cloak. When He looked around He saw a woman. The women then plead Jesus to heal her because she was having hemorrhage for 12 years already. Immediately, Jesus healed her by just speaking His word. Jesus promised her that all the days of her life; she will be in freedom from diseases and pain. But while Jesus was healing her, many people came into them and told the bad news that Jairus’ daughter already died. They all worried and fret about this. Upon hearing this, Jesus told and encourages Jairus to just believe and have faith to God. When they reached home, Jesus immediately touched the dead girl and utter words of life which was â€Å"Talitha, Koum† meaning, â€Å"little girl get up!† Then immediately the girl was made alive again. Upon seeing this, many were again amazed by what He did. Again, because of their great faith, Jesus has able to manifest His love and did miracle for them. The bleeding woman trusted Jesus so much that she took every chance just to get the attention of Jesus for her to be healed. In the case of Jairus, in the very first place he already sought Jesus help and even if the news came that his daughter already died, Jairus still has the faith and hope to Jesus that He will be able to heal and make alive again his daughter. And Jairus was not wrong. Indeed Jesus touched his daughter and she was made alive again. In these two miracles that Jesus again was made known as an ever healing one. Faith was still the main ingredient why Jesus manifested His Healing and miraculous power to the bleeding woman and to Jairus as well. Jesus heals a Man who was deaf and could hardly talk. In this miracle, a man who was deaf and has a big difficulty in talking was brought by the people believing that He will be healed also by Jesus as what He did to other people. They told Jesus to just touch him. And so, the man was healed. He was then able to hear very clearly and say words with no difficulty anymore. Because of their belief that Jesus was able the man was healed. Upon seeing the miracle happened, they praised Jesus. They said that Jesus is good and that He is such a great one for He has healed many people with all kinds of diseases already. Jesus heals the boy. In this miracle, Jesus handled a boy who was possessed by a demon. Jesus, at first, was upset because they did not immediately brought the boy to her. Jesus asked the condition of the child and then the man who brought the child to Him, asked Jesus if He could help and upon hearing this Jesus immediately reacted. He asked why does those man question if He can, do not they know that anything is possible with Him. He is the Messiah and the Great Mighty God; therefore everything will be done and accomplished by Him. So, Jesus drove away the demon inside the boy’s body. When the disciples saw this, they asked God why they could not do it themselves, then Jesus answered that what they only lack is prayer and faith. Those are just some of the many miracles that Jesus has performed during the three years of his ministry. There are still many of them that showed how great Jesus is. How He healed those people who were seeking Him with all their hearts with great faith, believing that Jesus will be able to free them from all their sickness. The miracles of Jesus manifest His goodness and His everlasting love and concern for us. He does not want us to suffer from anything but give us freedom spiritually and physically. Through the miracles He did, many people came to know and accept Him as Saviour and Redeemer. Doing those miracles was one way of Jesus to tell us that all things are possible if we only just believe and have faith in Him. Jesus came to this world to show how great his love for us is. Education Essays Deaf Students Education Deaf Students Education Deaf Students and Higher Education Easier Access to Higher Education for Deaf Students: An Interdisciplinary Interpretation Introduction There is a high emphasis placed on higher education in the United States today. Many jobs require future employees to have a college degree before they will even consider the applicant. Colleges and universities can be very demanding and rough for any individual to attend, and people with any handicap can find themselves in a situation that is almost impossible to finish. Deaf students that wish to follow their dream of achieving a college degree find themselves in a tough situation, not only by the demands of college life, but also because of the lack of help they receive from these facilities. Deaf students that pursue higher education should have easier access to higher educational opportunities, allowing them to obtain better control over their futures. College degrees are not easily achieved by most individuals. The success of the person has many outside influences, such as, social standing, educational level when the person enters college, and help from the college itself. â€Å"Approximately 70% of the 123,000 deaf students enrolled in 2,300 colleges across the United States will not persist until graduation† (Smith, 2005, p 1). The cause of this high rate must be considered by many different facts as well as different disciplines. Is the educational level of deaf students lacking in some way that causes them not to be ready for school after secondary schools? Are the colleges / universities helping in everyway so these students can achieve their goals? Does society treat these students less significant that hearing students? To fully understand this multifaceted issue, more than one discipline needs to be looked at because one discipline will not lead to a resolution, thus an interdisciplinary interpretation must be used (Repko, 2005). Many disciplines could help explain the cause for so many deaf students not reaching college graduation. Biology could explain set backs deaf children face, such as, were they born deaf or did they lose their hearing at an early age that cause these children difficulties in development. History could be looked at for how deaf people where treated in the past, and see if the stereotypes and stigmas that were present back then still existence today. Psychology should be used to help understand the deaf students and their goals for their life. Sociology looks at how deaf people are treated in the society they live in. Education could help explain if deaf student graduate high school with the knowledge they should have learned throughout their primary education years or if the student fell behind and still continued on to high school graduation. Education, sociology, and psychology will have more of an impact on the planning that will help more deaf students achieve their goal of reaching college graduation. Education is the process that brings together the physical, cognitive, and emotional needs of a child to help that individual develop intellectual (Nath Cohen, 2005). Sociology is the study of various groups and subgroups in a society in a society (Macionis, 2006). This discipline helps illustrate the difficulties deaf students face in the United States and will also show the view that society has about deaf people that they interact with everyday. Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and how people behave in everyday situations (Nairne, 2006). This discipline could help understand the mind of the deaf student and the hardships they face daily. These three disciplines will bring many different views about why deaf students do not reach a college diploma. To fully understand the viewpoints and theories that are in each of these disciplines, a detailed review of literature from each of these disciplines will be examined and introduced to help fully understand this difficult issue. In order to help deaf student attain a college education, a system must be implemented that helps with the full range of problems that deaf students face. Deaf students not only face difficulties in education but other areas in their life that hold them back; so, these issues must be studied also. With the conclusions from education, sociology, and psychology a plan can be mapped out from grade school to college graduation that help deaf students succeed throughout all of their educational careers. Background Many deaf people do not see themselves as broken or that they need to be fixed. The opposite is closer to the truth. Deaf people see themselves as a subculture, a minority in society. They feel that American Sign Language is their first language and English is their second language, just the same way Hispanics view Spanish (Unknown, 2007). This is quite a different view point that many hearing people may have when they see a deaf person in their community. Most deaf people do not feel the need to be â€Å"cured’ from deafness and embrace their deafness as their cultural identity. This must be kept in mind when studying this issue because both, the hearing population and the deaf population, have vast differences to why this problem might be happening. Keeping this point in mind we need to look at several reasons for this dilemma. Deaf students receive the same high school diploma that hearing students do, so why does the deaf population have higher rate of dropouts than the hearing population? The typical eighteen year old deaf student reads below a fourth-grade reading level (Bollag, 2006). These students are being taught to read lips and with cued speech (hand movements around the mouth to indicate the sound of the word being spoken) and not in American Sign Language (ASL). Teaching them to read lips and with cued speech is great to develop their English skills but these students also need the access to their â€Å"native† language in order to grabs the world around them. â€Å"ASL exposes children to the world’s knowledge and it incorporates self-esteem and aspects of deaf culture. Mastering English gives them access to the richness of the English world, like Shakespeare and idioms† (Bollag, 2006). These children seem less likely to accomplish the same school work as hearing students their age, if they must first learn to read lips or cued speech, which could take years after they start school. This could be another step in implementing a way to help every deaf student succeed after they complete primary school. Accessibility to the subject content many also play a role. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) 1990, deaf people have the right for qualified interpreter for their classes (U.S. Department of Labor, 1990). This needs a more in-depth look to see if all deaf college students are receiving this service. Qualified is loosely translated and could mean very different things to different organizations. Sign language interpreters have different levels of qualifications from state to state; therefore one state might be more lenient than others. This is a key to any deaf student’s educations and has many negative effect if the interpreter is not highly qualified. The other question about interpreters is; do they understand the course content of the classes the deaf student is enrolled in? When deaf students are taking the basic core classes most interpreters can clearly understand and convey the message of the professors. After the core curricular, more in-depth discipline classes of the major the deaf student has chosen. If the deaf student decides to major in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering, will the interpreter be able to fully understand the material and transmit that for the deaf student? This could be a very straing on both the interpret and the deaf student, which in turn could cause the deaf student to become frustrated with the course and drop out because they do not full understand. Are colleges deaf friendly? Some colleges have various programs and clubs for the student population. If only a few select deaf people are attending one univeristy the chances that they have special programs or clubs for these students are slim. Thus the deaf person may feel that they do not belong in the college world. People are social creatures and need the feeling of belonging, if deaf people do not feel this and on the extreme side feel exclused they may not want to continue their education. Another set back maybe how society views the deaf individual. Aristotle thought that hearing was the key to learning and deaf individuals that were not capable of speaking thoughts were thought to be dumb, with this the phase â€Å"deaf and dumb† arose (Hummel, 1993). This however is not the case; a minute encounter with an average deaf person will definitely disprove this theory. The sad truth is that many people today believe that this is true, and will hold on to this stereotype simply because they do not know any deaf people. There is a long history of remarkable deaf people that are not recognized by many hearing people. If this theory is false why do so many deaf people not graduate college? Society makes assumptions about every group and thus the group is stereotyped into something that, in most cases, is not true. Is this the reason why so many fail at higher education, because they have already labeled as less intelligent? The issues listed above show the star players in the education process for the deaf students. The cognitive ability of the deaf student must first be discovered. The educators in primary schools must be observed and taught the proper way to education deaf students. Then the college/universities must be examined to insure that the deaf student rights and needs are being met. Society also plays a key role into the education of deaf students; thus the stereotypes they hold need to be broken down to guarantee that the deaf students can succeed in today’s educational system. If these steps are taking the deaf student should be better able to seize their goal of graduating college. This problem needs not only to be looked at by many disciplines but with many different point of views. With this problem a debate with hearing and deaf arises, what is best for deaf individuals? Should hearing people decide what is best for the deaf child or should these decisions come from adults with hearing loss that have understanding about the deaf child experiences? If this dilemma is only looked at by one strict discipline or one point of view it could go unidentified by other professions and other individuals (Repko, 2005). Deaf students with dreams of higher education need an organization that helps with every aspect of they encounter throughout their educational careers. This organization needs to be design with the deaf student’s needs and also help educate deaf students of the government assistance/programs required under federal laws. This predicament affects many deaf students and has vastly impactions on their life. Without an education deaf people find jobs not necessary careers. This â€Å"real world problem† should be considered more broadly than one discipline can cover (Repko, 2005). In order to complete this task education, sociology, and psychology need to be explored. Education should be researched first to find better ways to help deaf students at younger ages to better prepare them for their future. Sociology should then be studied to see where the deaf students fit into society. The stereotypes of deaf people need to also be considered to inspect what needs to be altered in order for the deaf students, not to be look down on as less intelligent individuals. Psychology is the final stage of the approach because the deaf student also needs to be analyzed, in order to completely understand the full interpretation of the problem at hand. Armed with these disciplines the complete evaluation can be prepared, as a result a resolution can be achieved. Disciplinary Perspectives, Evidence, and Insights This section will present the most valuable material for discussing the topic problem. Both secondary and peer-reviewed sources may be used in this section, but, the primary sources are the most critical for the evidence from each discipline to be presented. Integration The integration for the disciplinary insights is the most significant part of the INTS paper. It is the center stage where all the actors come for the grand finale. Anselms Proslogium :: essays research papers

In this discourse, Anselm looks to discover God, and discover what makes God real. Anselm has many conflicts at first with himself, wondering if there is one true single argument as to prove the existence of God. Anselm puts all his thoughts together from first to last, those which made him almost give up wondering, and those thoughts that made him fully understand. Anselm also tries to answer the many questions as to why human’s sometimes doubt the existence of god, such as the fact God has left us, and since then man has digressed and lives in misery without God’s existence. He enlightens us on the fact yes, many of us truly do seek God, but we are oftentimes clouded by our own thoughts and desires. As soon as man begins to look for the truth and look for the good in God’s grace, we have ambitious intentions, such as to further our own wisdom. Is it truly an evil to further our own wisdom? This is one thing that comes to mind when dealing with this article for me. For every reason we seek god though, it in someway has a selfish reasoning behind it, even if not harmful intent. If one seeks God for calm and serenity, then he seeks to exclude himself from the rest of the world and not pay homage to God with his fellow friends. If one seeks God to further their own knowledge and become an expert, then he seeks God to become better then others in respect, and is thinking merely of himself. The main point being made here is God should just be felt, not understood. God created man in his own image so that man could understand and know that God has compassion and grace. It need not be felt or seen to be truly there, we should simply know and understand that God is there for us and helping us become better individuals.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  I think the second point being made from this paper is that many individuals have a â€Å"lust† for God. They want to believe so they have something to believe in, and want the Lord to be real. Anselm repeatedly discusses his â€Å"hunger† he had for God, where he continuously sought to learn more and extend his faith. This lust for God he finally resolves is something we should not feel. One should simply love God without question, because if seeking God, selfish purposes often arise.

Book Review Wild Swans Essay

1. Main Thesis In Wild Swans, Jung Chang describes the life of three generations of woman in her family. Beginning in the year 1909 and ending in present time, it gives an insight into almost eighty years of the cultural history of China. Jung Chang has said in a interview that her intention in writing Wild Swans was to show how the Chinese people, and in particular the women in her family, â€Å"fought tenaciously and courageously against impossible odds.† The book is a testimony to the strength and determination of her grandmother, her mother, and herself and their resourcefulness in recreating themselves during suffering, humiliation and disillusionment. She interweaves personal and historical stories fluently and the stories of these women and their families act as a lens through which you gain insight into the turbulent history of twentieth century China. The most important themes in this book are: love of family, loyalty and self-sacrifice 2. Chapter Summaries The book starts by relating the biography of Chang’s grandmother, Yu-fang. After the birth of Chang’s mother, De-hong, the book moves to her story. After the birth of the Jung Chang, the focus of the book now shifts again to cover Jung’s own autobiography. Chapter 1: The father of Yu-fang, was Yang Ru-shan, born in 1894 as the only son. It was his duty to produce heirs to continue the family name. One a year after he married he got a daughter, Yu-fang. Political unrest caused problems for many in China over the next years. He arranges that a powerful warlord general, Xue Zhi-heng takes Yu-Fang as his concubine at age fifteen. The general stays only a few days after the traditional marriage and then leaves, not returning for six years. During his next brief visit, Yu-Fang becomes pregnant. The general’s household is run by his legal wife and the head concubines. The wife immediately lays claim to Yu-Fang’s daughter, who the general named Bao Qin. Yu-Fang kidnaps her daughter and escapes from the household. She lies, saying that the child died during their trip. When the general dies, Yu-Fang discovers that one of his final actions was to release her from her duties as his concubine. Chapter 2: Soon after, Dr. Xia, a matured doctor of Manchurian ancestry, falls in love with Jung’s grandmother and the feelings could be felt the same from Jung Chang’s grandmother as well. The doctor proposes and grandmother says yes. Although not thrilled with the marriage, Jung Chang’s grandmother’s father agrees to the marriage and sends her daughter off with a traditional wedding. When Dr. Xia’s three sons, their wives, and grandchildren hear about the marriage, they’re extremely angry. The grandmother receives quite a bit of harassment from the family and the eldest son even commits suicide, nevertheless the wedding still continues. He accepts Yu-Fang’s daughter, who he renames â€Å"De-hong†, meaning â€Å"virtue† and â€Å"wild swan†. Chapter 3: China is living under Japanese rule. After moving to a new province of Manchuria, Jung Chang’s grandmother, now living with Dr. Xia, begins to realize how terrible life is under the Japanese. The Japanese rulers are very cruel. The people are only allowed to eat acorn meal and sorghum, as the Second World War drags on, fewer rations and supplies are given to the people in Manchuria as Japan is losing the war. Finally, an American B-52 bomber flies overhead and she realizes that Japan had indeed lost the war. As Japan’s last officers commit suicide or run away, the town is in chaos just like the rest of Manchuria. Chapter 4: The Japanese are replaced by Soviets who were almost as bad. They pillaged and raped, taking what they wanted and dismantling entire factories. However, they soon leave and the Kuomintang arrives in shining uniforms and rifles. The Kuomintang turns out to be oppressive and ineffective at keeping justice and peace. The remaining Japanese are systematically murdered by the Russians and the Kuomintang. After a while the country is in a civil war between the Kuomintang and the Communists. De-hong sees communism becoming increasingly important to many people but has yet to make up her own mind about the situation. She continues to watch those in power, including those over the teaching school where she now resides. When she learns that a favorite teacher and then her best friend, Cousin Hu, had been Communists and had been either chased from the city or executed for their political beliefs, she makes up her mind that she, too, will become a Communist. Chapter 5: De-hong asks to be a part of the communist movement but she’s found too young. A short time later, she begins distributing Communist literature. The economic situation is so bad that the family has no savings and Dr. Xia, now nearly eighty, is worried about what will happen when he dies. Extortion is rampant, food is scarce, and the money that does exist has almost no value. De-hong becomes friendly with a Kuomintang general. Using his military freedom, they travel outside the walled city occasionally and De-hong leaves messages for her Communist counterparts.. The Communists then start regular bombardment of the city, including one dud shell that crashes into the home of De-hong’s family. Chapter 6: De-Hong helps clean up the carnage cause by all the civil war. When the communists take over the town, they do not pillage, rape, or extort as all the other groups of people had done before them. Many are courteous and kind and seem to be the fit kind of soldiers who destroyed the Kuomintang. When De-Hong reports to receive her first assignment for the communists, she instantly falls in love with a dreamy man, named Wang Yu, who was a high ranking communist official. He had been on many dangerous missions with the communists and rose through the ranks by being extremely loyal to the party and its ideals of sever equality. The two and several other teachers and students travel by train to another communist held town for fear that the town may be retaken by the Kuomintang and there, the two fall in love. Wang Yu eventually submits a request to â€Å"talk about marriage† to the party leaders and the two are engaged and finally married. Chapter 7: Chang’s parents join a group of people traveling south. The trip is dangerous as civil war is still raging. The walk is long and hard, walking forty days to reach their destination, Nanjing. Her mother is forced to walk but her father is allowed to ride in a jeep, a privilege he accepts. De-hong is soon pregnant though she doesn’t realize it until she’s in the process of miscarrying because of the ordeal. She’s very heartbroken and angry at her husband. After the miscarriage, her parents are separated because of his transfer to Yibin. It takes her four months to recover and then make the trip to him. During that time, her anger has cooled and they are happy to see each other. Chapter 8: When Chang’s parents arrive in Yibin, her father is appointed leader and returns to a form of his former name, Chang Shou-yu. He and her mother live together in a mansion confiscated by the Communists. Chang’s grandmother, Fang-Yu, despite her bound feet and difficulty walking, makes the long trek from Jinzhou to Yibin to see De-hong. De-hong gives birth to her first daughter, Xiao-hong. Chapter 9: This chapter tells of her mom’s life as being in the Public Affairs Department in Yibin. She tells of living with a denouncing of her grandmother, the birth of herself and the strictness of her father. Being part of the Communist was hard and had many of its hardships. Having a husband was harder for her mother than anything else. Chapter 10: Chang’s mother goes under suspicion during the course of this chapter. Being that she had some relations with Kuomintang participants she went under suspicion. But, after all that she had to go through, she was able to be free of any charges. Chapter 11: During this chapter, Mao decides to purge the Communist party again. This time devises that most people are â€Å"rightists† and need to leave the party, which ruin their lives forever. However, he got help this time and made all of his officials get rid of 5 % of their total participants. In the end, Chang’s mother was able to get to this quota after many different approaches of convicting people of being a â€Å"rightist.† Chapter 12: A famine strikes the land of China during this chapter. Many people die and starve from this famine all because Mao decides to make this situation look like their wasn’t a famine at all. Mao wanted to produce steel which led to a drop in production of food which leads to the famine. But, the famine gets cleared after Mao lets others to take charge of the situation. Chapter 13: Chang describes life in a compound during this chapter. Moving into a compound was for Chang and her siblings to go to a very nice and prestigious school. Living in a compound was very contained with its many entertainment locations. There was no need to go outside the compound for any reason. She also tells of how nice her life was as a child, living in a home where she was a good kid and her family noticed that. Chapter 14: This chapter describes the event that occurred with the cult of Mao. Many youths were forced into living like Lei Fang, a man who had a huge fondness for â€Å"Chairman Mao† and living his entire life revolving around him. Education included studying the words of Lei Fang and viewing the beatings of â€Å"class-enemies.† Chapter 15: After hearing about the collapse of Stalin’s Russia, Mao realized that he represented a Stalin figure waiting to be overthrown by his own people. In order to stop this from happening, Mao endorse’s books called â€Å"The Quotations of Chairman Mao†. This book contained his quotes and would be used to strengthen his popularity with the Chinese. In short, Mao’s control over China tightened throughout this chapter. Chapter 16: Not until, chapter 16 did Mao’s rule become apparent. Mao issued the use of Red Guard’s who he said protected and fought for Mao (in other words his own police force). Most of these Red Guards came from the families of high officials and came as teenagers. These Red Guards reinforced Mao’s word and rule and when someone was â€Å"betraying† Mao, he or she would be beaten, raided, tortured, or executed. Chapter 17: Jung Chang’s father starts to question Mao’s actions and asks whether if the actions of the Chinese are justified. Eventually Jung Chang’s father writes a letter to Mao explaining the wrongs of Mao’s actions (which in the words of Mao, was considered â€Å"against Mao† and could face charges such as death). He soon serves time in detention. Also he starts to oppose Mao’s thoughts and expresses them out loud which can lead to very harsh outcomes. Chapter 18: To summarize this chapter, Jung Chang and her friends make a pilgrimage to Peking. The goal of this pilgrimage: to see the Great Chairman Mao. Chapter 19: The control of Mao switches into high gear. Because her parent’s become branded as â€Å"capitalist-roaders† they suffer from many brutal denunciation meetings, beatings, harassment, and embarrassment. They are hurt for their crime of being â€Å"capitalist roaders† and bitterness starts to arise because they were only ever loyal to Mao. Chapter 20: Jung Chang’s father soon serves time in detention (due to sending another letter to Mao) and his wife makes a trip to Peking in order to speak to Premier Zhou Enlai, who she believes could help in their situation. On her way to Peking she meets two lovers Yan and Yong who join her. Finally with the help of Premier Zhou Enlai, Jung Chang’s father no longer served in detention. However, this does not end well. While in detention the guard watching over Jung Chan’s father plays mind games with him and convinces him that his wife created a conspiracy against him. Things got out of hand causing them to sleep in seperate areas and forces Jung Chang’s father’s mental and physical health to deteriorate (which later, his health imporved). Next more denunciation meetings hold misery for the parents. Chapter 21: Chapter 21 discusses some of the events that occured within her family. (her siblings) For example, Xiao-hei’s becomes a member of a gang and Jin-ming’s â€Å"black market† book experience. Along with these events being told, she tells of people drawing lines between their enemies and friends, sometimes causing friends to betray each other. Luckily her friends did not tell on Jung Chang which relates back to the title of the chapter, â€Å"Giving Charcoal in the Snow†, that refers to helping out others when needed. Also in this chapter, Jung Chang experiences her first time in a university. Chapter 22: Within this chapter, Mao institutes the idea of â€Å"thought reform through labor†. The intentions of this quote made Communists all around China to go to the countryside and work alongside the peasants (Jung Chang was sent to Ningnan). Mao said that it would make the Communists closer to China. Sadly, at the end of the chapter, the friend’s of Jung Chang pronounced her grandmother dead. Chapter 23: To summarize this chapter, Jung Chang pursues her career as a â€Å"barefoot doctor†. Mao defined barefoot doctor’s as doctors that could be turned out en masse. However, before she became a barefoot doctor she was relocated to another peasant village, Deyang, where she learns of what happened to China before the Cultural Revolution. Chapter 24: With her entire family on the mission of completing â€Å"thought reform through labor†, Jung Chang decides to visit her parents who can be found in separate locations. Her mother in Buffalo Boy Flatland and her father in a labor camp. While visiting her father, she tries to cheer him up by keeping him company. Eventually other family members come visit which allowed her father to not suffer from suicidal thoughts and whatnot. In the end, Jung Chang’s father apologizes to Jin-ming, her brother, about their current situation and past events. Chapter 25: In this chapter, Jung Chang takes her career in being an electrician. In her factory, she meets Day and eventually they both fall in love. However, it becomes shortlived because of their different social status’. In the end, Jung Chang’s father dies and she enrolls into an english university. Chapter 26: Education in China becomes less stressed, however those who had connections with officials became legible to enter universities, through the process which later became known as using the †back door†. Teachings elements became based on Mao as well as military tactics and defending the country. Chapter 27: This chapter gives rise to the death of Jung Chang’s father. Her father died due to a heart attack which a doctor refused to see immediately. In his honor, an elaborate funeral was held for Jung Chang’s father. After the funeral, Jung Chang’s school decides to go on a field trip to the Chinese port, Zhanjiang, where the students could practice their English with the incoming and outgoing sailors. At the end of the chapter, Jung Chang’s Party secretary announces the death of Chairman Mao. Chapter 28: After the death of Mao, the Chinese become a bit confused on what they should do. The idea of studying in the West became very prominent, as the government handed out scholarships for those wanting to go to the West. The story ends as Jung Chang traveled to the West in search of broadening her horizons and experiencing more freedom.

The Supply and Demand for Immigration Laws! One of the most controversial political and economical issues facing the United States today is immigration. The rules against illegal immigrants coming into the United States should be stricter along with the number of legal immigrants we allow into the United States lowered. The reason for these stricter laws and smaller amount of foreigners is due to the drastic increase violence due to immigrants, they also bring in a plethora of diseases while increases the cost of health care and degrading health care service. Immigrants whether legal or illegal should be under harsher rules and should be constantly observed. Sister Helen Chaska was walking around in her hometown of Oregon doing missionary work when Maximiliano Esparza—illegal immigrant for Mexico—raped her and then strangled her with her rosary beads (Crime Victims). In another cases three young boy s, two of age 9 and the other age 10, were brutally killed by two illegal immigrants. One of the young boys was beheaded while the other two almost beheaded; the children also suffered from blunt force trauma and asphyxiation (Crime Victims). Immigrants such as Esparaza and the killers of the 3 young boys have no compassion or care for Americans i. e. 9/11. A majority of the violence that occurs in cities is committed by immigrants but once they are caught they are deported back to their country of origin. Once legal immigrants are able to receive their green cards they must be immunized and screen to assure the American government and citizens that they are not bring any diseases over to the USA. Chagas Disease, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis, Swine flu, Leprosy, and Dengue are example of diseases that began in other countries and were bought over to the United States by Immigrants (Engler). In the past 40 years the United States only had 900 cases of Leprosy but it was reported in 2003 that 7,000 people were infected with the disease. Leprosy was first bought over to the United States by illegal from Brazil, Mexico, India and the Caribbean. We also cannot forget the Hepatitis outbreak in Pittsburgh; the outbreak was caused by a Mexican restaurant shipping food from Mexico to United States (Engler). When illegal immigrants come over to the United States they do not care about what type of sickness they could be bringing over to the United States. A majority of Immigrants whom come over are uninsured. Forty-three percent of immigrants that come to the United States under the age of 65 have no health insurance. That equals out to 9. million uninsured immigrants and not including the illegal ones whom are unaccounted for. The cost of medical care for the uninsured immigrants is passed over to taxpaying citizens. Immigrants also use hospitals, clinics and emergency services twice the rate of U. S. born citizens. This causes long lines and over capacity health care faculties which results in the patients being rushed in and out. A California study showed that U. S. tax payer dollars continuously goes to the delivery of babies from illegal alien mothers. In one year 74,987 babies were delivered and it cost the taxpayers around 215 million dollars (Illegal Immigration). We have neglected areas in our economy where taxpayers’ dollars should be spent rather paying for illegal immigrants. The statue of liberty was not built to welcome and greet the worlds’ tired and huddled masses. The actually purpose of the Statue of Liberty was to symbolize the French-American friendship and the underlying political message of America supporting and helping Third Republic of France. Furthermore, the statue of liberty has nothing to do with freely allowing immigrants into the United States (The History). The French initial intent of Lady Liberty is to inspire many culture and countries around the world to emulate the enlightened United States such as the Sculptor of Lady Liberty, Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi, hoped to glorify the United States in the republic of French (The History). The message of the Frederic Bartholdi was not intended to be a welcome mat as many immigrants argue but encourage citizen other countries to admire America. Illegal immigrants are a burden to our country. They blatantly bring in foreign diseases, which could kill of half of our population. When the Immigrants come over here they also commit horrid crimes that are unthinkable in America but are common in their countries. Most of the crime that is actually reported here in the United States is committed by Immigrants. Due to the abundance of immigrants the cost of health care is increasing drastically and the quality of health care is decreasing. Therefore, the U. S. overnment should implement stricter rules and enforcement around our borders and we should decrease the amount of immigrants we allow in the states. GCSE Geography Coursework Castleton

Castleton is a small village located in the Derbyshire Peak District. Castleton is famous for its beautiful scenery in which many people come to hike, Cycle, and Climb. Castleton has a wide variety of Attractions which all the family can involve including Peveril Castle; Castleton's many Caverns which range from Limestone gouges to Underground Rivers. Castleton also has exquisite surroundings including the 517 foot mountain Mam Tor. We visited Castleton to prove whether three hypotheses are right or wrong. These Hypotheses were: 1. Is Castleton a ‘Honeypot site'? 2. Does Castleton Suffer problems caused by Tourism? 3. How can the problems caused by tourists in Castleton be solved or reduced? I aim to answer these three hypotheses in this piece of coursework. A national park is a reserve of land, usually declared and owned by a national government, protected from most human development and pollution. There are almost 7000 national parks in the world. The largest being Northeast Greenland National park with an area of 375,000 square miles. A honey pot Site is a popular Visitor attraction which attracts tourists in large numbers. It is called a Honey pot site due the simile of bees buzzing round a hive, in connection to tourists being attracted to an site or attraction.. Honey pot sites include The great pyramid of Giza and the Grand Canyon in the United States. Honey pot sites can be amazing to look at, this is why they attract so many people although there could be setbacks for the area; setbacks include overcrowding, litter, a strain on facilities and public transport. Also there are problems such as footpath erosion. Castleton is situated in the Heart of England, being only 18 miles from Sheffield and 25 miles from Manchester. It is easily accessible from all over the UK as it is only 40 minutes from the M1 and M6. This leads to high levels of People visiting the area; this could also be the reason that people give it the title of a â€Å"honeypot Site.† Attractions Peveril Castle Peveril Castle was found soon after 1066 by William Peveril who was one of William the conquerors most trusted Knights. The Castle played an important Part in Protecting Peak Forest. The castle used to be called Peak Castle. Displays in Castleton Visitor Centre tell the story of Peveril as the focal point of Peak Forest, which in his time was a royal hunting preserve. Speedwell Cavern Set High above the village of castleton, Speedwell Cavern takes you on a incredible underground journey which sometimes lasts up to an hour. The entrance is an almost Hidden cave which leads down to an underground canal which you then start your boat trip through the 200 year old mine. A wide selection of Gifts and mementos are available to buy to remember the amazing boat trip, including Jewellery made from the Blue John stone. Peak Cavern Set in the middle of Castleton, A Unique ‘World' Which consists of Rock Formations and eerie Sounds. Tours Last up to an Hour with a riverside walk, A limestone gorge, 280ft vertical cliffs and a traditional rope making demonstrations that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

The study will review statistics from the last 34 years leading cause of homelessness by state in the USA starting 1980 to 2013.The primary independent variable is labor force and the other three independent variables Unemployment, saving, inflation, Below_povert, state population, homelessness population, AA- housing, home percent. In this study these variables will be explored and the correlation between the dependent variable, homelessness, which is determined by the independent variables, will be studied. There seems to be two groups of academic researchers, in which one continues to support the high-selling prices of the houses in USA and its positive impact to the economy, they believe that the main purposes of investment in real estate business is to improve real economic value. It is also agreed that housing leads to improvement in productivity, innovation, and job creation in every field of economy (Kraemer and Dedrick 1996). The other group criticizes the bad impact of hig h-selling prices of the houses on economy and the fact that high-selling prices lead to the development of low house quality leading to the development of slums around the big cities and towns (Hollenstein, 2004). As all this is being said, only little is currently known, for instance, about the real factors that lead to high selling prices of the houses (Lepak and Snell, 1998). So to support other studies regarding the pros and cons of selling prices of the houses, this research will provide an adequate survey to see which overcomes which, pros or cons.
